Disambiguation link notification for May 15

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, Palermo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Emperor of the Romans. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Monreale to Monreale Cathedral (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:06, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve San Matteo al Cassaro

Hi, I'm JustBerry. Waldgang, thanks for creating San Matteo al Cassaro!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please include references and inline citations so that others can verify the information you add to articles. Thanks for you contributions!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hello, Waldgang. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Gaetano Troja, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Gaetano Troja to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

County of Sicily

Thank you. Could you please state on which pages are the references that you added referring to if possible. I can't find it anywhere in Encyclopaedia Britannica. Google books is very vague. The Italian Wikipedia page does not state it either. Plus the map that is supplied on the page of County of Sicily only shows the County within Sicily only. Calabria is only part of the Duchy of Apulia and Calabria. The County and Duchy are in different colours. Doing a google search tells me that the County only comprised of Sicily and Malta. I don't know where this fact that you state exists. I am asking you nicely to provide evidence. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.74.2.83 (talk) 03:40, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the references.

Thank you for your references regarding the County of Sicily. Just goes to show that different historians will state different things. I've had past references challenged as well. But truth seeking can be a messy business:) thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.195.38.89 (talk) 05:07, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

hi friend! I'm also really interested in Sicilian issues, mostly with a focus on language. I also work with Cadèmia Siciliana a lot. Maybe we can collaborate! :) I also tried to post a more inclusive view on italian diversity in the ethnic groups of europe but i wasn't able to police it well enough, if you go into the edit history you'll see i provided 10+ references. I can help with this as i love a lot of peer reviewed stuff on identity in italy/sicily :)Paolorausch (talk) 15:02, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Matteo Camera has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not seem to meet notability requirements for WP:ACADEMICS.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Copying licensed material requires proper attribution

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Antonio Mongitore you included material tranlated from the Italian Wikipedia. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this legal requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:58, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, PRS. Now you're back, could you please let me know what the sources were for the two articles I messaged you about? • Pro Regnum Siciliæ, do you think that it is wise to post unblock requests when you still haven't addressed the sourcing issues raised by Boleyn further up on this talk page? You need to procure those sources now, list them and start a dialog with Boleyn here on your own talk page to try to resolve these outstanding issues. Admins will judge based on how that goes...

Hi PRS, I appreciate that you now want to contribute again, just look very carefully at WP:UNBLOCK. We need to know you understand he importance of WP:V and also address the reason this went to WP:ANI - why did you ignore the nine messages I took quite a bit of my time to send you? Do you know understand that communication is mandatory per the policies WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE, hen another editor raises a concern? Are you willing to work collaboratively in future? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 05:21, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Boleyn, i'm sorry i haven't responded to your messages. I thought to directly improve the articles in order to accomadate your request. Unfortunately i had very little time. I repeat, excuse me. There are several bibliographic sources about Cataldo Parisio (even in English language). The sources about Giuseppe Artale are less, almost of all in Italian language. I just need time to improve the articles. So, yes, I'm willing to work collaboratively in future. Pro Regnum Siciliæ (Pro Regnum Siciliæ) 11:45, 31 May 2018 (CET)

Request reason:

I deeply regret having to take such action, but i have the right to ask the unblock of my account. I understood the reasons of the block, but i find a bit unfair the prosecution of that block. I apologized to Boleyn, i promised to avoid the complained behaviour, i am ready to correct the articles with sources. Cataldo Parisio and Giuseppe Artale are important figures of the Sicilian literature, they are included into the Biographical Dictionary of the Italians (http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/cataldo-parisio_(Dizionario-Biografico)/ http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/giuseppe-artale_(Dizionario-Biografico)/) and into the "Biography of the Illustrious Sicilians" (Vol. 3 and 4: https://books.google.it/books?id=ldOlp1QWK_AC&hl=it&source=gbs_navlinks_s https://books.google.it/books?id=rvE49ffpqCwC&hl=it&source=gbs_navlinks_s), there are many sources on Google Books, etc. So, i ask to be unblocked. If this is not done, i will draw the conclusion that the English Wikipedia is a place where there isn't a real space for mutual comprehension. Best regards.
