Sorry about the Rantso Mokopane edit

It is a true story. He hit my car on Monday and fled the scene. I'm pursuing legal action but the justice system isn't justicing and its looking like the guy is going to get away and I'm gonna be stuck with the repair bill. I figured I'd at least slander him a bit since he's got a Wikipedia page. I admit it wasn't the best/most mature option.

Impressive that you guys are so on top of things that an edit on some B list south african runner's Wikipedia doesn't even last a full minute. Not being sarcastic, it is genuinely impressive. They should accept Wikipedia pages as reputable sources at this point.

Cheers 156.155.160.131 (talk) 16:27, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 156.155.160.131! Sorry to hear about the accident, hope nobody was injured. No worries with regards to that edit, we have strict rules with regards to sourcing information in biographies of living people, but it seems you've figured that out.
And yes, there's a bunch of us who look through edits made by newer editors for mistakes and vandalism! We have automated tools and filters which help us (a lot). Reliability can vary across our articles, we're doing our best to work on that though. Pahunkat (talk) 23:41, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Royal Oak, Bethnal Green, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Telegraph.

Hi Karlis rizz, unfortunately Wikipedia is not the place to talk about things you have created. We write articles on notable topics which are supported by reliable sources. Pahunkat (talk) 20:09, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
