I am going to replace this article of 50 canals, with a matrix of some 125 canals. New columns will include length, number of locks, general location within France, and ability sort most fields. User:Gloverepp/test.

Part of actual page. Map: The map of France has been divided into 9 sections as shown below. Some canals may not be contained within a section, so a best guess has been made as to what to use for a designator for those canals.


Plan to replace this article

I have been working on a replacement for this page for much longer than I care to admit. I keep finding new information and can't seem to get it exactly like I want. I thought I would discuss this replacement with yawl who already have invested so much time in the existing one. I started with all of the existing information and added at least 50 new canals. I made the columns sortable and added fields like length, number of locks, and location within France. You can view my test article here User:Gloverepp/test. Any comments?
