I think this template should support an image and caption, so that articles like Australia women's national wheelchair basketball team at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, so that the lead image be put inside the infobox, which is the convention across much of (most of?) Wikipedia. I have made changes in the sandbox, here's what it would look like:
