Could a template editor add a parameter "|disp=none" or something like that which would show only the IMO number as a link, e.g. 7108930. This would be useful for tabular ship lists. Tupsumato (talk) 18:15, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Automatic check for validity
Would it be possible to include a validity check as per IMO number#Structure to the template? If an invalid IMO number was inserted, the template would then give a warning message. Tupsumato (talk) 16:57, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
