it doesn't seriously affect the copyright status; not for a mid-19th century photograph, but the source link (http://www.npg.org.uk/collections/search/portraitLarge/mw164828/Sir-Edward-Sabine?LinkID=mp03933&search=sas&sText=Edward+Sabine&role=sit&rNo=2) appears to point to the wrong photo/wrong person. i assume that either something has changed @ the npg site, or the uploader used the wrong link by mistake (possibly doing several pics at once?).
if i had more time & energy i'd hunt for the right one (assuming it's still from the npg), but i'm out of steam now; will try to return later, if somebody else hasn't got there first...
