Fagus sylvatica, not Quercus

There is Fagus sylvatica trunk on this picture with characteristic smooth bark, with leaves which shape and colour is typical for Fagus sylvatica. There are also another beeches around and masses of Fagus leaves on the ground. I can not find any character typical for presence of Quercus in the forest on the picture (pure stands of Fagus sylvatica in beech forests are also typical for this species).
