Inaccuracy

I believe that this file is an inaccurate representation of the subject matter. It is set up as if the placenta replaces the lungs in a like-for-like switch. However, the placenta receives blood from the internal iliac arteries (branches of the aorta), not the pulmonary artery. It also drains blood through the liver, inferior vena cava, and right atrium to the left atrium, not through the pulmonary vein. See Chapter 58. Bibeyjj (talk) 15:01, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
