That just may be simply because enough blood has escaped to conceal the wound. It looks real to me. I don't think someone would be idiotic enough to apply "red paint" or some other liquid to their hand for a Wikipedia picture. It's on Wikimedia Commons. The people on Wikimedia Commons wouldn't put it up if it was a fake. To go to all that bother to have that resolution and to make the other finger out of focus for aesthetic(for lack of a better word) reasons certainly would not be by a vandal. 98.202.38.225 (talk) 20:11, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
