Il dirigea notamment les arrestations des membres de la Bande à Bonnot.Georges Simenon en fait dans ses romans le supérieur et le protecteur du Commissaire Maigret. English: Xavier Guichard (1870 - 1947), French police superintendant, chief of the Sûreté à la Préfecture de Police (1911 - 1913), later Directeur de la Police Judiciaire (1930 - 1934). He arrested the members of the Bonnot Gang. In Georges Simenon's novels, he is the chief and the protector of Jules Maigret. |
