English: Photo #: NH 102345 Acoma underway, prior to her World War I Navy service, American Motor Boat, 1917; Photographed by M. Rosenfeld, New York. This craft was acquired by the Navy on 25 September 1917 and commissioned on 18 October as USS Acoma (SP-1228). She was returned to her owner on 25 November 1918. Contemporary Navy clerks marked the original with the name of Acoma's sister, which served as USS Velocipede (SP-1258). The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
