English: Silica bunkers at Porth Wen Brick Works Rock arriving down the incline from the Graig Wen Quarry arrived at the top of the structure - the steel "knapper" used to crush the rock can be seen at the top most level. Pieces of rock then descended down shutes through the various levels where they were further processed - reaching the lower bunkers in almost powder form ready for brick making.
