Summary

Description
English: John Fletcher of Lawrence Livermore holds an IBM 1360 Photostore chip box in his right hand, and a loading tray in his left. The chip box holds 32 "chips", small pieces of semi-rigid photographic film that was used to store digital data. Multiple chip boxes are loaded into the tray which is then loaded into one of the removable slots in the photostore. The robotic system the removes the boxes from the tray for reading or writing.
