Panaeolus cinctulus (Bolton) Britzelm.
Image location: Burbank, California, USA
Identified by sight. Found in my backyard. There was a very large fruiting in this area during 2003 and there have been subsequent smaller fruitings since then. The most recent ones were seen in early 2006.
Recognized by sight: Blackish gills, reddish stems.
