Description
Español: Pablo Neruda (Parral, 12 de julio de 1904 – Santiago, 23 de septiembre de 1973). Poeta, escritor, diplomático y político del Partido Comunista de Chile. Senador por la Primera Agrupación Provincial "Tarapacá y Antofagasta", para el período 1945-1953. Pre-candidato presidencial por el Partido Comunista para las elecciones de 1970. Fue cónsul particular de elección en Rangún y cónsul de elección en Colombo y en Batavia. Además, cónsul de elección en Buenos Aires, cónsul honorario adscrito al Consulado General de Chile en Barcelona, cónsul agregado de la embajada de Chile en Madrid, cónsul en París y cónsul general en México. Fue embajador de Chile en Francia en el gobierno de Salvador Allende. El 10 de diciembre de 1971 recibió el Premio Nobel de Literatura.
