Description
English: F1: MR and angiographic studies suggestive of multiple arteriovenous shunts supplying a venous malformation. A 26-year-old female with a painful vascular malformation of the right lower leg with a clinically obvious venous component was evaluated for arteriovenous shunting. (A) Parasagittal T2-weighted MR image with intravenous gadolinium contrast demonstrated an infiltrative vascular malformation in the right gastrocnemius (arrows). (B) Digital subtraction angiogram of the right leg in a lateral projection during the arterial phase revealed arteriovenous shunting (arrow) within the vascular malformation, supplied by sural branches of the right popliteal artery.
