Svenska: Detta exemplar är tillverkat av Carl Gustaf stads Gevärsfaktori år 1906, och har använts inom SJ Driftvärn.
Modellen Gevär m/96 utvecklades av tyska Waffenfabrik Mauser AG på beställning av den svenska armén. Drygt 535.000 gevär kom att tillverkas av Mauser, Carl Gustafs Gevärsfaktori samt Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB mellan 1896 och 1944. Den sista grenen inom svenska armén att pensionera geväret var Hemvärnet som 1995 ersatte den med Automatkarbin 4 / Ak 4. |
