Summary

Description
English: Diagram depicts how liver tissue PFK-2 is differentially controlled in response to hormonal signaling. Concentrations of hormones insulin and glucagon prompt different enzyme pathways that phosphorylate/dephosphorylate PFK-2 to shift the active domain. Upon domain activity stabilization, fructose-2,6-bisphosphate is either produced or degraded, which impacts rate of glycolysis.
