English: Latua pubiflora ' The Sorcerers' Tree' - single, newly-opened flower showing cordate lobes of corolla limb, cordate, purple ( undhisced ) anthers and capitate, green stigma contrasting sharply with deep purple style.

Flower borne by small, cultivated, container-grown specimen obtained from specialist nursery in county of Herefordshire, United Kingdom. An attractive, but very poisonous species employed in the folk medicine and shamanism of its native Chile by the Machi ( = shamans ) of the Mapuche people.
