Huddersfield Library & Art Gallery. Listed Grade II and designed by E H Ashburner, (who also designed Sheffield Central Library,) building work started in 1937 and it was opened as a Library and Art Gallery in 1940. The two statues either side of the main entrance are by James Woodford and represent the spirits of Literature and Art.
