The last wasborn 21 Aug. 1743 and married (1), about 1773, Dorothea,daughter of Thomas Burton, who died 2 Nov. 1775 and wasburied in Bath Abbey, and (2) 1786, Honora, daughter ofGeorge Stamer and widow of Temple French of co. Cork.He died 30 Aug. 1796. He was graduated at Trinity Col-lege, Dublin, in 1766 and was High Sheriff of co. Clare in1784. His widow died at Lucca, Italy, 29 Sept. 1820, aged60, and was buried at Lucca. By the second marriage Will-iam had a son, Richard John Delazouche Stacpoole, born 21May 1792, who married, 15 March 1825, Jane, daughter ofAndrew Stacpoole of Ballyalla, and died 9 Oct. 1860, leavinga son, Richard Stacpoole, born 19 Aug. 1828. He married,9 Aug. 1868, Alice, daughter of John Westropp of Attyflinand died 16 June 1891, leaving two sons and three daugh-ters. EDENVALE, ENNIS, CO. CLARE, IRELAND. STACPOLE FAMILY IN IRELAND 49 ter, Norah Dorothy, and a son, Richard Hazzard Stacpoole,born 8 March 1896. This family has lived at Edenvale,Ennis, co. Clare, Ireland for over a century and a half. Icalled here in July, 1897, and was much aided in the study ofthe history of the Stackpole family. Edenvale is a fine resi-dence and a large estate of land. George Hogan Stacpoole (George5, William4, Clement3,Robert2, Bartholomew1), born 1745, died 1812. He had, be-sides other children, sons, Andrew and William Henry.Andrew was born 7 Nov. 1776. By his first wife, BridgetComyn, he had a daughter, Jane, who married Richard JohnDelazouche Stacpoole. By his third wife, Diana, daughterof Daniel Finucane of Stamer Park, he had a son Williamof Ballyalla, who was born 9 Oct. 1830 and died 10 July 1879.He was member of Parliament for Ennis in 1860, 65, 68,and 74.
