Summary

Description
English: Two gamma distribution median asymptotes which were proved in 2023 to be bounds (red upper solid and lower dashed) of the from nu(k) ~ 2^(-1/k)(A + k), and an interpolation between them that makes an approximation (red dotted) that is exact at k = 1 and has maximum relative error of about 0.6%. New plot based on formulas from RF Lyon 2021 "On closed-form tight bounds and approximations for the median of a gamma distribution", PLOS ONE. The cyan shaded region is the remaining gap between upper and lower bounds; see File:Gamma distribution median bounds.png for prior published bounds that effect that area.
