Summary
Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 ("Langnase")
Captured by US troops
Fw 190 D-9, "Black 12 + - , WNr: 500576". This one was surrendered at R-28/Furth on May 8th, 1945. She is in late war cammo RLM81 Brown-Violet, RLM82 Dark Green uppers over RLM84 Light Blue-Grey. RLM84 was never documented, but here's an example of it. The rudder finished in RLM76 Light Blue with RLM75 Grey-Violet. RLM81 carries over wing leading edges even with the gear doors, which are also RLM81. The pilot who surrendered this lovely was wearing the all-leather late war flight suit. Notice the two P-47's parked in background!!!
