Summary

Description A U.S. Marine Corps Vought F-8E Crusader (BuNo 150350) from Marine Fighter Squadron 312 (VMF-312) "Checkerboards".
This aircraft later flew into heavy overcast and crashed ca. 100 km east of the Thanh Hoa Province, North Vietnam, due to a gyro failure on 7 March 1967 while in service with VF-191 (NM-111). The pilot, Lt. Robert Lester Miller, was killed.
