Object history La obra fue un encargo del Canal Imperial de Aragón al propio Francisco de Goya, junto con otro retrato del rey Fernando VII en 1814. Permanecieron en la Casa del Canal de Zaragoza hasta 1819, cuando fueron llevados al Casino Principal debido a un incendio sufrido en el edificio. En 1921 se depositaron en el Museo de Zaragoza.
