Description

Ball-and-stick model of the dichloro(cycloocta-1,5-diene)platinum(II) complex, [PtCl2(COD)], as found in the crystal structure.

X-ray crystallographic data from Inorg. Chem., 1984, 23 (22), pp 3673–3674.

Model constructed in CrystalMaker 8.1.

The structure of the palladium analogue [PdCl2(COD)] is very similar and multiple determinations of the two known polymorphs are available in the Cambridge Structural Database under entries CYOCPD*.
