Object history
Deutsch: Die Wappensymbole "goldener Sparren" und "silberner Stern" wurden aus dem Wappen der im späten 17. Jahrhundert in Poing begüterten Familie von Prielmair in das Gemeindewappen übernommen. Der von Silber und Blau geteilte Schildfuß weist auf die enge Verflechtung des Ortes mit den bayerischen Herzögen beziehungsweise Kurfürsten hin. Die Feldfarbe Blau gibt nochmals die bayerischen Farben wieder.
English: The symbols of the coat of arms, the golden "chevron enhanced" and silver star, were adopted from the arms of the family Prielmair, who had some manors in Poing in the 17th century to the coat of arms of the community. The silver and blue base of the shield shows the close linkage of the community to the Bavarian dukes and princes respectively. The blue field repeats one more time the Bavarian colours.
