Object history
Deutsch: Ein mit der Jahreszahl 1597 versehenes Gerichtssiegel von Pfeddersheim führt den Reichsadler - als Zeichen der ehemaligen Reichsunmittelbarkeit -, auf dem Stoß (Schwanz) belegt mit dem Buchstaben "P". Dieses Siegelbild hat sich als Gemeinde- bzw. Stadtwappeb bis ins 19. Jahrhundert behauptet. Aus diesem Siegelbild ist das Stadtwappen entstanden.
