Summary
DescriptionBroomhall Bridge at Shutt Green, Staffordshire - geograph.org.uk - 1374586.jpg
English: Broomhall Bridge at Shutt Green, Staffordshire Narrowboat "Platypus" has conceded that we are nearer the bridge hole, and is waiting for us to pass through.
The canal was built by Thomas Telford and opened in 1835. He attempted to minimise the distance by adopting straight lines wherever possible, so his canal includes many long embankments and cuttings.
