"Princess Caroline of Leiningen-Dachsburg-Heidersheim (1734-1810) married Charles William, prince of Nassau-Usingen, in 1760. She was the great-grandmother of Queen Mary, wife of George V, who inherited this miniature from her mother, Mary Adelaide, duchess of Cambridge, in 1897. The miniature is set in a gold bracelet, originally together with a portrait of her husband, Prince Charles William (RCIN 10916). The identity of the artist is unknown." [1]
