English: Bounty (ex-'Bethia') Deck plans - upper deck, lower deck and hold - of the 'Bounty' (ex-'Bethia'), including the disposition for carrying breadfruit plants in pots in the great cabin and other accommodation; dated 'Received...20th November 1787'. This reference (ZAZ6668) in fact comprises a set of drawings not as yet distinguished by part numbers of which the most up-to-date electronic image references are as follows; J2027 – External sheer (starboard broadside)and profile J2028 – Internal sheer and profile (i.e. it also shows the breadfruit plant racks and companionways in red) [old image D3970-1] J2029 – An explanatory keyed detail of the plan arrangements for plants, in section and profile as above J2030 –Upper, middle and lower deck plans without plant racks ut with the cabin marked as 'Garden' [old image D3970-2] J2031– Upper middle and lower deck plans as fitted with plant racks for 629 pots [old image D3970-3] Note that J2032 is also a dyeline copy draught of the 'Bounty' launch plans (not yet cataloged on the system but ref. no ZAZ8748). It is an enlarged but otherwise identical copy of the the engraving by Mackenzie originally published in Bligh's published account of the 'Bounty' voyage ('A Voyage to the South Sea...', 1792). |
