Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of the unit cell of the crystal structure of the β polymorph of anhydrous copper(II) nitrate, Cu(NO3)2. The structure was reported in Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. (1995) 621 1261-1265 and can be accessed as CSD entry 1639010 and ICSD entry 78740.

This is the β polymorph. Another polymorph was discovered earlier and subsequently named α-Cu(NO3)2. See S. C. Wallwork, W. E. Addison, J. Chem. Soc. (1965) 2925-2933 for details.
