Summary
DescriptionAY-3-8610 Gridball.jpg |
English: The "Gridball" game from the "Superstar 2001" game cartridge for the Prinztronic Tournament Colour Programmable 2000. This cartridge uses the GI AY-3-8610 ("10-pong-derivatives-on-one-chip"). (This is a photo of an actual TV displaying a genuine AY-3-8610 based game. For technical reasons, it has been tweaked as below. The black edges are a video artifact and not part of the game itself.) |

This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: Photograph of TV screen has been altered to remove perspective distortion. Brightness and gamma have been adjusted. Tweaks have been made to the colour of the background and elements to restore them to an accurate representation of what they originally *looked* like (the photo was not very faithful in terms of colour). This was taken on an upscaled LCD TV; I'd rather have used a CRT, but there were problems with that..

I believe that the elements displayed in this game screenshot are extremely basic and hence clearly below the threshold of originality. Their arrangement is purely a consequence of the game design, but the screenshot would likely remain below the threshold even if they weren't. Multicherry (talk) 22:54, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
