Summary

Description
English: This anteroposterior (AP) chest x-ray of a 38-year-old male patient, revealed the presence of bilateral, diffuse interstitial pleural infiltrates, and accompanying consolidation. As well as, what appeared to be marked, mediastinal adenopathy. Located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at this point in his medical intervention, this patient had been ill for 48-hours, with what was diagnosed as a case of pneumonic plague, caused by the bacterium, Yersinia pestis.
