Burns Road Kay Romeo and Juliet is a 2024 Pakistani romantic drama television series directed by Fajr Raza and written by Parisa Siddiqui. The series is produced by Fahad Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi, under the production banner of Big Bang Entertainment.[4] It stars Hamza Sohail and Iqra Aziz in lead role. The series first broadcast on 6 February 2024 on ARY Digital.[5][6]
Plot
The series is about the story of two young lovers, Farhad and Fariya, from different family backgrounds. Farhad, the son of a traditional pakwan shop owner, falls in love with Fariya, the daughter of a wealthy Memon-Gujrati businessman, after a chance encounter on Burns Road. Despite their differences, they begin a romance, but their families' disapproval and economic differences threaten to tear them apart. The series explores themes of love, family, and classism.

Production
The series marked the first on-screen appearance of Hamza Sohail and Iqra Aziz. In 2023, it was reported that Hamza and Iqra will play the lead role in the upcoming drama series which will be directed by Fajr Raza.[12][13] The trailer for the series released on 27 January 2024.[12] Principal photography begun in July 2023. Filming for the series took place in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, mainly in the neighborhood of Burns Road.[14][15]
Reception
Critical reception
In a review of the first episode, The News International said it as a "revieting watch", and praised its storyline and engaging characters.[16]
