Woodard Schools embroiled in Academy Controversy
Woodard Schools became the centre of the Academy Controversy in Sussex when they attempted to take over three secular schools and turn them into religious foundations based on a very narrow Christian ethos. They compounded the problem by a rather high-handed and authoritarian attitude towards staff and parents - refusing to attend a meeting of 200 staff and parents to discuss their plans on thursday 7th February.
