Marries grand-niece... early version of Heinlein's themes of voluntary incest, and older men attracted to younger women. Just sayin'. 204.69.139.16 (talk) 17:38, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great grand-niece so it's hardly incest, and a 22yr old boy (if I remember right) attracted by a 19yr old girl isn't that strange 217.94.118.164 (talk) 18:00, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just wanted to point out that the great grand-daughter of your twin sibling is, by consanguinity, genetically closer than your first cousin. 95.130.163.17 (talk) 23:42, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Plus she grew up telepathically linked to him, while he was an adult but through her entire childhood. Which is more significant than genetic connection imo. 06:40, 22 October 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.113.166.178 (talk)
Does a telepathic link count for or against grooming? They were talking her whole life, which argues for, but presumably it would be hard to hide unsavoury intentions from a telepath. --124.157.79.144 (talk) 06:53, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, as it happens, the kinship degree is 1/8 in both cases. 2A01:CB0C:CD:D800:2:121E:5A4D:1956 (talk) 07:17, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Paradox

it may be of interest to note that the twin Paradox in SR doesn't engender as such any contradictions or internal inconsistencies in the theory, but that the introduction of instantaneous telepathy, as in the story, does create insurmountable paradoxes, as do all supposed signal traffic that travels faster than light. 2A01:CB0C:1704:9A00:E8DD:9180:8F4C:4512 (talk) 15:52, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
