Yasufumi Tanahashi (棚橋 泰文, Tanahashi Yasufumi, born February 11, 1963) is a Japanese politician who served as the Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission from July 2021 to October of that same year.
Political career
He also served as Minister of State in Charge of Science and Technology Policy in Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's cabinet. Tanahashi is also a member of the House of Representatives for Gifu's 2nd district since 1996.
Education
He graduated from the University of Tokyo with a B.A. in private law in March 1987.
