World Film Communities Network (WFCN) is a web application which acts as a film submission platform and online marketplace for film, media, and entertainment industry.[1][2] WFCN is a venture of Alzebra, Inc. having its headquarters at Palo Alto, California, USA.[3]

Developed in the concept of system integration (SI), WFCN serves as a comprehensive database and resource of film industry.[4] The cloud-based digital application is invented by Shailik Bhaumik in 2019 with the aim to bring the global entertainment business in one palette.[5][6][7]

WFCN allows independent creators to connect with peer professionals globally and help promote and sell their digital products such as films, music or games, bypassing intermediaries.[8]

WFCN provides creators with tools to create their professional profiles and develop their communities of similar minded artists and audience globally.[9]

Independent artists can create their custom content pages (landing pages), promote their content among their communities on WFCN, submit to the international creative contests and finally monetise their digital content via Ad or transaction based models.[10]

WFCN provides filmmakers with a platform to submit their films to a curated selection of various film festivals around the world. Filmmakers can access information on film submission deadlines, requirements, and guidelines.[1]

Professional Networking

WFCN’s professional networking feature allows filmmakers, producers, distributors and film crews to connect with each other.[11]

Knowledge Resource (Cinecyclopedia)

WFCN offers a comprehensive knowledge resource known as the Cinecyclopedia, providing users with access to information on film terminologies and the history of world cinema.[12]

Data Policy

The World Film Communities Network (WFCN) implements open data policy aiming to distribute the information and knowledge base among its community members, industry stakeholders, and the public at large. WFCN's open data policy ensures that data relevant to the film ecosystem, including information on films, festivals, industry professionals, and more, is readily accessible to everyone.[13]

Open data has the power to fuel innovation by providing a wealth of information and insights that can inspire new ideas, approaches, and solutions. WFCN's open data policy is designed to encourage innovation within the film industry by making data accessible to innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers who can use it to develop new technologies, business models, and creative projects.[14]

WFCN serves as repositories of data relevant to the film industry as the platform believes that collaboration is essential for driving progress and innovation within the film industry. Through its open data policy, WFCN encourages collaboration among filmmakers, industry professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders, enabling them to leverage data-driven insights to create, share, and collaborate on projects more effectively.[15]
