Vuonna 1853 massiivisista graniittijärkäleistä rakennettu uusi Utsjoen kirkko näkyy kauniina järven vasemmalla loivalla rannalla jonkun matkan päässä siitä. Se maksoi noin 90 ooo markkaa, se on katettu raudalla.
