Hi,

replying from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:121.98.140.36

thank you for your feedback.

Yes, the reseason that I reverted the 'New Zealand nationality law' page was that it had been overly politisized by cut-&-pasting content that detracted, instead of adding to the page.

I believe that by comparing the 2 versions, that you will also agree.

best regards, NZ editor

Help

Why is my name in the color red? All of the other people I see have black-colored names, is this because I'm fairly new?

Hello. To answer your question, your name is red because your User Page has not been created yet. The people with blue names have created their user pages. You can add to your user page by clicking your username above the editing tabs on any page. You can learn more about this by reading WP:USER. Also, a helpful piece of information, whenever you see red links on Wikipedia, that means that the article for those words has not been created yet. There is more information about this here. Hopefully I have addressed your question. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask them on my talk page. - Rjd0060 02:26, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank You very much for answering my question. TOL 02:29, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

They should probably be going on the users' talk pages instead of their user pages as they won't get a notification that their page was updated. Gakusha 02:50, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Touch of Light and thanks for your edits to Goodna, Queensland. However, please ensure that when editing articles on Australian topics, you should use Australian English spelling. This applies particularly to words such as "kilometre" and "centre". Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English for further guidance on spelling differences in various English dialects. Cheers, Mattinbgn\ talk 11:05, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Oh wow, I was wondering why they spelled it that way, I thought it was a typo, thank you so much for informing me. TOL 23:16, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

If there's already a request for speedy deletion on a page, you don't need to nominate it for AfD unless the deletion tag gets removed. Corvus cornix 23:26, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

~Oh, thanks for that, how exactly do I request it in the future? TOL 23:27, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

There are several deletion tag templates at Wikipedia:Template messages/Deletion. Pick the one that seems appropriate. Many of the tags have instructions on what to do after placing the tag (such as notifying the creator of the article that there's been a tag placed on the article, or explaining how to do an afd nomination), or some of the Template pages have documentation on what to do. Ask me if you have any questions. Corvus cornix 23:36, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Is there a list of all of the Wikipedia committees? I wanted to join more than the welcoming committee but i cant seem to find any more.

I don't think so, but you can try searching around. You can try this. I'm not sure whether it will help, so I'll leave the template on. -Goodshoped35110s 00:50, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Wow! Look at all those clubs you joined! Who knew what I offered would help! (I'm kind of a newbie myself, and I've been helping people myself. When I don't know what to do, I usually try my best to offer help, if not, I usually try to dispatch someone.) By the way, would you be interested in that when someone needs help, and when I don't know about that, is it alright that I send you a talk saying someone needs help? Thanks! -Goodshoped35110s 02:41, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Can Someone please change it, or tell me how to correct it?

Thank You, TOL 20:00, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

The only bold thing I see is the TOL from your signature. This is because it is linking to the page it is on ( The same thing happens here[[User talk:Touch Of Light]] produces User talk:Touch Of Light. ) If

I haven't answered your question, please add the {{helpme}} again.--Werdan7T @ 20:13, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

someone has changed it so it doesn't have the bold format anymore, i wonder who it is...

Thank You anyway for helping =)

TOL 20:15, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Is it ok now? This text was bold, because it was made to be so. The header of the userbox is made to be bold. So the former text of the header had to be done to the next line. The first line still is bold, but has no text now and does not show. It´s the same with TOL. Instead of your signature (which there only has the result to be bold), there is only usual text now. You can not change a template, creating a userbox, because many userpages use it and the users want the headline to be bold. It' s even worse with the signatures. If you can not change the system, you have to cheat. If you want to know how boxes work, please see Help:Table. Happy editing.--Thw1309 20:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Reporting to WP:AIV

Hey, thanks for helping us out by reporting a vandal! When you want to report someone, there's a specific format that we like to use. For anonymous users (IP addresses), put {{IPvandal|IP address}}, followed by your brief reason for listing. For registered users, it's the same, but put {{Vandal|username}} or {{Userlinks|username}}; they're pretty much the same. Leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions, okay? Happy editing! GlassCobra 02:25, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Thank you so much for telling me that! I was so confused why my report didn't show up like the others, in the future, i will follow the guidelines. TOL 02:56, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
No problem. :) Keep up the good work! GlassCobra 02:57, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Non-constructive edits

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to TexAgs. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. — BQZip01 — talk 04:39, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I had a reason but you were not without alarm

Hello and I'm sorry if there was any confusion but I play the game second life and allot for the people on that list are teenagers wanting nothing more than attention. Having a section of notable people is just asking for ego maniacs to add themselves. I removed it for this reason, that people were placing there won names without any merit because they find themselves important or they are important to maybe around 10 people.

Hey! I would like to know, have you ever considered adminiship? Goodshoepd35110s 03:05, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

To do that, all you have to do is go to WP:RFA, click on nominate, then nominate yourself, tweak the page, click save, answer the questions, edit the --- you know what, I'll nominate you. Goodshoepd35110s 03:32, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Wow, thanks so much, I'll see what the admins have to say about it.

Goodshoped35110s would like to nominate you to become an administrator. Please visit Wikipedia:Requests for adminship to see what this process entails, and then contact Goodshoped35110s to accept or decline the nomination. A page has been created for your nomination at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Touch Of Light. If you accept the nomination, you must formally state and sign your acceptance and answer the questions on that page. Once you have answered the questions, you may post your nomination for discussion, or request that your nominator do so.

You're welcome. You know, I also tried for Adminiship yesterday, but my request was pulled prematurely, so I'll try again in a few months. :-) Goodshoepd35110s 03:48, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

RFA nomination

Welcome (again :D) to Wikipedia, and I hope you stick around and enjoy yourself here, but adminship is not for new users. or users that are not sufficiently experienced. Typical admin candidates have participated in a wide range of Wikipedia aspects and a couple thousand edits. Many have considerably more of both. Without more time and at least 1000 edits, there is absolutely no way you could be promoted to admin. Sorry, but you just don't have the experience needed for the community to have learnt to trust you. But stick around and you may someday. I am going to close your RFA as inexperience rather then let it fester with people piling on oppose votes, as will certainly happen if allowed to proceed. Hope you dont take this in a bad way and I hope to see a future RfA from you! Cheers! Phgao 06:22, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Question

I was wondering if I could make a page about the school I go to, would this conflict with Wikipedia's page policy? I just want to make sure it's ok to do before I get started.

Ok, if you go to my user page and go to the sandbox, you can see that I am working on a school page that I hope to be added to Wikipedia, I want to add a picture to the page in order to make it look better, and thought that the school's logo would be a good picture, but I'm not sure if it is a registered trademark or not. How can I add the picture after I upload it, and how can I find out if it is ok to use on Wikipedia?

Any Information would be great. TOL (talk) 03:28, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

It's OK after you provide a fair use rationale. Note that images may be deleted after a year by BetaCommandBot. If it's a registered trademark, it's OK to use but only under a fair use rationale. -Goodshoped 03:46, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome, but where's the fair use rationale? -Goodshoped 04:00, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't know what i should do, how do i add a fair use rationale? And what exactly is it? I have never uploaded an image before, I'm quite new to this. TOL (talk) 04:03, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Scs.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Scs.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:56, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, but no thanks!

I've edited wikipedia before, under a username. Had over 2000 edits, got fed up of idiots messing it up, thinking they knew better than cited info. So, I decided to not bother, and am only editing when I see anything that needs fixing whilst I'm doing homework etc! So 'tis all cool! I request that you remove the speedy deletion tag that you added to this article. A simple google search will reveal that the subject is quite notable, and I am adding more information to the article Stanley011 (talk) 01:40, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I was just wondering if you can create an infobox for this page. Many thanks Stanley011 (talk) 19:31, 15 May 2008 (UTC).

Rollback

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Speedy deletion of "Chelsy huston"

A page you created, Chelsy huston, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is very short and provides little or no context.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. neuro(talk) 04:30, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, that was partially my fault. I deleted the page at the exact same time Neuro tagged it, (after you had) so the server conflicted the edits. J.delanoygabsadds 04:32, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Narg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Narg, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a dictionary.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion nomination of Narg

A tag has been placed on Narg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesita
