Newsletter

Send me a list or link some time in the next month and I'll include it in the newsletter. Regards, Alan16 (talk) 18:12, 29 July 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Hi. I'm starting to gather info for this months newsletter. You mentioned a "campaign of activities" that you wanted included in the newsletter - if you can provide me some specific information for what you want included, I'll get to work adding it. You'll also get a mention for taking up the coordinator role. Regards, Alan16 (talk) 14:23, 11 August 2009 (UTC).[reply]
That seems fine. It'll be under "Project News" in the next newsletter. Regards, Alan16 (talk) 23:00, 11 August 2009 (UTC).[reply]
The next collaboration is likely to be The Sound and the Fury (only nomination although it does have a lot of votes as well), and the next newsletter challenge is looking to be Oberon Past and Present. Regards, Alan16 (talk) 23:04, 11 August 2009 (UTC).[reply]

IFES

Thank you for looking at the page, I was wondering if anyone was going to say anything about it.

Thank you for the idea on the regions, I was thinking about making pages for the activities in each region seperately, but currently I don't have enough information. I am torn: if I use a number of their own publications, I would be able to construct very thorough information on their activites and countries they were involved in; however, if I do that, that may create a really strong bias favouring IFES or opposition from other editors, that I am favouring IFES, etc. What is your opinion?SADADS (talk) 20:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Using primary sources can be difficult, but it is certainly not dis-allowed. It all depends on if you can remove any bias from the sources. As long as you are using them for only factual, non-contrversial information, it should be fine. However, third-party sources are certainly required for proving notability. A few newspaper articles or online news articles specifically about the regional parties should be sufficient. I would first add the regional information to the current article, and splitting off subarticles once sections become big enough. This gives other editors a chance to see your work before putting it in the more exposed position of a separate article.YobMod 20:13, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pride and Prejudice

No problem! I'll try - and thanks for the message :)Mo HH92 Talk 18:32, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sword of Truth task force

Yes still active mainly as part of the wider Novels project team. Nice you see someone taking the initiative in SofT.  :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 09:49, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I just don't have time to devote to that project anymore. If you have questions for me on what we planned or actually did, feel free to ask me though. Glad someone is willing to try and continue on with the task force. - Runch (talk) 13:46, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for the task force invite. However I am not at all familiar with Terry Goodkind or The Sword of Truth, and so must respectfully decline. Jaydec (talk) 07:07, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for helping out at EAR. It is customary to answer on the EAR page. That way other helpers can visibly see the answer, add their own help, etc. Also we don't usually put an answered tag on til 5-7 days have passed. As the original poster may come back. Cheers. Your Message (follow-up from Pride and Prejudice)

Just wanted to say thanks for your welcoming message. It's nice to have somebody to approach if I get stuck. Wikipedia guidelines pages are usually very clear and helpful, but because of the sheer number of them, it can sometimes be hard to find what I'm after! Anyway, cheers again for the welcome. :-) Tcnuk (talk) 21:00, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Category:Novels set in Roman Gaul (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. — The Man in Question (gesprec) · (forðung) 04:02, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. My guess is that this argument will just rumble on and on, and the article will never stabilize. There are just too many strongly-held opinions. Some see the subject as humorous, some don't see what the fuss is about and some feel strongly that eating roadkill is highly ethical or morally wrong and evil. I think I will just watch it for a while. :~) Aymatth2 (talk) 12:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
