Copyedit an Article

Some of your edits are improvements, but some are not. "Receives" was correct because the story line is summarized in the present tense. "Series" is in the singular, even though it ends with an "s."

Adding Sources

Your sources look good. Go ahead and add the citations to the article. Josef Horáček (talk) 22:44, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Lead

This is not an easy project, but it's important. I like your suggestion to change the name of the article. In fact, it should be even more specific: Intersectionality and violence against black women in the U.S. You should add a comment to the article talk page (under a new heading, at the bottom) suggesting the name change.

The article is poorly organized, and you have a chance to fix some of the problems in your lead. You should start with a quick background on intersectionality and only then move on to some of the historical examples. On other words, you should move from the general to the specific.

Revise your draft and post the new version in the sandbox within the next two days. Josef Horáček (talk) 07:49, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your revision is much better. There are some small changes you should still make: 1. You mention that Krenshaw is a feminist scholar twice. 2. "Sheds light to" should be "sheds light on." Make the changes and add the lead to the article. Do this by Mar. 3. Josef Horáček (talk) 19:09, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
