Speedy deletion of Abel Cullum

A tag has been placed on Abel Cullum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. -Zeus-uc 02:52, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Shamrockdiaz.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Shamrockdiaz.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 18:02, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Lawler shields.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Lawler shields.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:01, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields

Hi, remember to add sources when you add upcoming fights to articles. Also, though it's much less of an issue, the concensus at the MMA Wikiproject is to avoid adding upcoming fights to the record tables until they have happened. Please just add the fact that they are scheduled to fight to the prose instead. :) Cheers, --aktsu (t / c) 10:07, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Affliction

Hi! For WP:GFDL licensing reasons, you should never copy-past-move pages but instead use the move-function to keep the page history. If that's not possible because the page exists you can request it moved by an admin at WP:RM. There seems to be very little actually copyrighted content on the page though (mostly simple statements), so it's probably no big deal but you should keep it in mind in the future. :) Cheers, --aktsu (t / c) 17:45, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Forgot about the move feature. Now I know :) Kind Herb (talk) 17:52, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg

Hi. Sorry about reverting your edits. I did it because the source link didn't work. I searched the mmaweekly site after I reverted and found out that the fight is indeed set for the title now. I added the fight back to the main card as title fight and added the source properly. --Tuoppi gm (talk) 08:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Strikeforce 20 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Proposed deletion of Strikeforce 20

The article Strikeforce 20 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article was created from sources which all turned out to be incorrect. Currently the article consists of little more that a few templates and no real content other than that. There is so little content that there is nothing to source and therefore absolutely no references.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
