Thank you for your welcome note. All is a bit new, getting used to it slowly.

Your link additions

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo 06:41, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info. Have one observation tho..what goes for the goose should also go for the gander? Yes, no, maybe?

Content fork

Heelo... recently, you created an article at Haida Gwaii Islands Queen Charlotte. That article duplicates content in an existing article, Queen Charlotte Islands, and as such has been redirected to the proper article. Thank you. --Ckatzchatspy 19:06, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That Ckatz is a flat out lie. NOTHING on the page I made had remotely anything in common with the page you redirected it to. Suggest you tell exactly why you deleted my page without leaving the time to talk!

Furthermore, as I did not keep a copy, I suggest you put my page back up so I can take a copy. Thank you

Found this in the logbook

  1. 19:03, 23 June 2007 (hist) (diff) m Queen Charlotte Islands (Reverted good faith edits by BCR123; Remove link to content fork.)
  2. 19:00, 23 June 2007 (hist) (diff) Haida Gwaii Islands Queen Charlotte (redirect to Queen Charlotte Islands (this is a duplicate page - article on subject already exists)) (top)

It is obvious that you haven't read one word op the entire web page. You looked at the title and assumed; unless there is malicious action on your part. I request hereby formally you undelete the web page.

Just letting you know ckatz that if any of the text on my web page shows on the Queen Charlotte web page you will respond to abuse, discrimination and vandalism. Totally disgusted with your behavior. Somewhere in your attitude objectivity is not around. I object to the redirect you have put in place on the basis of your misjudgment.

I will respond in full to your comment a little later, when I have the time to better illustrate the problem and provide examples. However, you should know that your accusations are groundless. The text in the article overlapped with several existing articles on the Islands and the Haida people, as well as being written in a non-encyclopedic manner. You have also already been cautioned about using Wikipedia for advertising purposes, so I would suggest that you use caution before tossing around threats. Thanks. --Ckatzchatspy 01:37, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Look I don't have to take your misjudgment and abuse. To insinuate that the page has anything in common with the Queen Charlotte page just shows your bad judgment. I don't want to have anything to do with somebody who cannot even read and assess properly. So Delete the redirect. Delete anything that is associated with it. End of Story There is nothing really that can justify your behaviour. You act and then you talk - that is not wise. Good bye

BCR123: From what I can see, the page was a pretty clear-cut redirect or delete. It is about the Queen Charlotte Islands/Haida Gwaii, for which there is already an article (Queen Charlotte Islands). It has some information about the Haida people, who are covered in extensive detail at Haida. It has no references, is written in a non-encyclopedic manner, and closely parallels the information at the PureWest and Blue Water Adventures web sites, raising concerns about copyright violations.
Further to this, you have already been cautioned by two different editors (not including me) for adding inappropriate external links for a QCI-based tourism company. You have claimed on my talk page that I made some sort of statement (which I have struck out from your comment there) about "good information", "totally false statements", and so on. None of these purported quotes come from any message I have left for you, either on your talk page or at the article in question. Given that you are manufacturing false statements about my actions, how am I supposed to respond? --Ckatzchatspy 10:06, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In response to your question, there is no-one from the Queen Charlotte Islands "in charge" of the article. Wikipedia is not a collection of web pages, it is an encyclopedia. Articles are governed by an extensive series of policies and guidelines to ensure neutrality, verifiability, and encyclopedic content. You can start by reading the site introduction, tutorial guide, Manual of Style and the help pages. You should be careful about starting articles which can be seen as promotional or a conflict of interest, As well, with regards to one of your comments, you should be aware that any information you contribute is released under the terms of Wikipedia's licensing guideline, so you cannot make threats about re-use of material. --Ckatzchatspy 18:55, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
