Optience is a developer of optimization software and services for the chemical process industry. Their SCMart software for optimizing planning and scheduling decisions is used in olefins manufacturing plants. They also develop the REX software, which has an integrated framework for kinetic parameter estimation and reactor optimization for Research and Development laboratories.
The company is headquartered in Campbell, California and founded by alumni of the CAPD Center[1] at Carnegie Mellon University.
