Sergent Garcia is a French singer.

Musical genre

Sergent Garcia mixes reggae, salsa, raggamuffin, rock and other styles in a new fashion that he defines as salsamuffin.

His first album that gained mass public attention is his second album Un Poquito Quema'o. This album, on which he is accompanied by the band Locos del Barrio and other artistes like Orishas, is a success in France.

This album is contains songs full of energy and others more calm. The lyrics are about love, poverty, shamanism, el Subcomandante Marcos...

His third album is judged less flavored by the public and becomes much less popular.

For his last album, sargento got a new appearance: he changed his paname and his cigar for a "R'N'B" outfit. His music changes with the costume. The album is recorded in Jamaica, in Cuba and in France. The music is strongly caribean. One song is (partly) sung in Creole, another is more ragga, another salsa...
