The Toy Museum (French: Musée du jouet; Dutch: Speelgoedmuseum) is a museum of toys and games in Brussels, Belgium. It was opened on 14 November 1990. The core collection was amassed by a family of amateur toy enthusiasts and has grown through donations by the public as well as purchases.[1]
The museum is housed in a former mansion with 1,000 m2 (11,000 sq ft) of exhibition space on three floors, located at 24, rue de l'Association/Verenigingstraat, in the City of Brussels. It is home to over 25,000 historic toys and games, mostly from the 1950s to the 1980s, with the oldest dating back to 1830.[1][2][3] It is owned and operated by André Raemdonck.[4]
