Usage

This template should be called by passing a variable to it for the closest monarch of the House of Hesse-Darmstadt. For example, {{House of Hesse-Darmstadt|louis4}}. This calls only the relevant part of the template, as well as getting around the fair use violation that would occur if the arms images were directly on this template.

louis1 - for Louis I and his descendants

louis2 - for Louis II and his descendants

louis3 - for Louis III

louis4 - for Louis IV and his descendants

ernestlouis - for Ernest Louis and his descendants

house - for everything
