Connector Life and amount of insertions should be noted —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.110.139.40 (talk) 12:04, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- Rather difficult to achieve. Different sockets for different processors, along with the qaulity of the socket all affect the life of the socket. Rilak (talk) 12:06, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Are SATA connectors for new Apple Macbooks ZIF?
The use of ZIF connectors in the Apple iPod is mentioned. Would the connectors used for the SATA connections in the 2011 and 2012 Macbooks count as "ZIF" (and a third connector - I think the display)? Or are they some newer type of connector technology? They are flat, but I wouldn't say they were "zero-force", at least not when inserting them by hand. Perhaps when they are placed by machine and there is no question as to whether it is positioned correctly (x-y), it can be done with "zero force". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimw338 (talk • contribs) 13:58, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
